Write a blog they said. It’ll be easy they said.
“I’m not exactly sure who “they” are, but “they” seriously overestimated my abilities. Apparently, I am not one of “them.”
Now, I do like to think that I may be smarter than the average bear, but this little endeavor brought me down to my knees. I had to bring in the Pro’s:
BIG, BIG thank you’s to Kristin Seay (www.kristenseay.com) for website design and getting me to this point. BIG, BIG thank you’s to Sarah Kathryn Hall (Love, Sarah Kate/5.11 Community) who created my photo header. I also want to send a BIG, BIG thank you to Pastor CJ Andrews (Sacred Treasures/sacredtreasures.online) for being a my cheerleader and my conscious on the tough days.
And to be sure, I cannot leave out my nephews, T and L, who dubbed me Aunt Pam from Mississippi and gave me the idea for a family friendly, biblically oriented blog!
Without further hesitation….let’s get started!
This whole production of writing a blog has made me even more aware that I cannot do life alone. It takes a tribe, a villiage, a family. For me, it has taken Circles, Sisters, and so many others who believed in me, encouraged me, and helped me “Walk out the Brave.”
I want to encourage you. Find your person. At least one. There is someone who needs you as much as you need them. If you can’t find them in your neighborhood or your workplace, branch out. Visit a church (if you are local, I’m inviting right now! Life Church, GTR…I’ll save you a seat), join a club or gym, go to local events (there are a lot that are free or low cost), teach a class, or my favorite, volunteer. There is someone just waiting for you. They may even make the first move, speak the first word. Embrace the moment.
